Métis Truths brings together historical records, family stories, and community knowledge to reveal Métis presence, relationships, advocacy, and land connections across Alberta. From Treaty 7 and the Cypress Hills petitions to scrip, St. Paul des Métis, and the Métis Settlements, the story challenges incomplete versions of history and shows how colonial systems disrupted Métis lands and communities. It also asks us to consider our responsibility to recognize, share, and carry these Métis truths forward.
