ME TO WE

From Me to We follows the ongoing work of reclaiming one Métis family's history through relatives, community knowledge, firsthand accounts, and historical records. As pieces of the Fayant story come together, connections to ancestors, places, First Nations grandmothers, and Métis history emerge—showing how relationships can help restore knowledge disrupted by colonial assimilation and erasure.

la vie est belle

La Vie est Belle connects Nelson Lussier’s memories of his grandfather, Major Zéphirin McDougall, with generations of Métis leadership and resistance. Through family stories of Alexandre McDougall and Maxime Lépine, Nelson traces a legacy of advocacy, service, and commitment to Métis rights. His story reminds us that this inheritance continues through caring for community and working together.
